Agios Ioannis – Aradena Gorge – Marmara – Lykos
A wonderful hike at first across a pine-tree forest that crosses the gorges of Agios Ioannis and Aradena. It follows the old trail that used to connect Agios Ioannis to the coast. At some points fasllen trees block the way and at others the trail is not stable and special caution is necessary. It joins the Aradena Gorge lower than the iron ladders and later some rock sliding down make it harder and more interesting.
After the Marmara beach it follows the E4 coastal trail, which should be avoided if you are terribly afraid of heights.
Hiking boots and sticks and plenty of water are recommended.
It can be combined with the treasure hunt game of geocaching.
