Skinakas – Koudouni – Gyristi

Sunday 18th October 2026

Our hike startσ just before the Skinakas Observatory. We head east along an unmarked trail through the characteristic mountainous terrain of Psiloritis, reaching the summit of Koudouni (1,860 m). Continuing east, we ascend Gyristi (1,779 m). From there, we follow the ridgeline off-trail until we reach the Thea location, where our hike ends.

This route is intended for experienced mountaineers who are familiar with the rugged terrain of Crete’s mountains.
