Radamanthys – Minos III: Vourvoulitis – Agios Thomas
Sunday 18th October 2026
According to Greek mythology, when Zeus, transformed into a white bull, abducts Europa, the princess of Phoenicia, he brings her to Gortyna, where they become lovers. Their union gives birth to three sons: Minos, king of Knossos; Radamanthys, king of Phaistos; and Sarpedon, king of Malia.
Our Club connects these four archaeological sites through a series of hiking routes. The first phase connects Phaistos with Gortyna and then continues towards Knossos. The second phase links the Palace of Malia with the Palace of Knossos. It is a journey through the mythology, culture and history of our land.
This route is the third part of the series. The starting point is the village of Vourvoulitis. The route continues towards Kastellos in Ano Moulia, passes through Megali Vrysi, and ends at the village of Agios Thomas.
