A hike to the Balcony of Mirabello.

In the western part of Orno Mountain, within the Sitia Geopark, we enjoy this beautiful mountain route.

Our hike begins just before the village of Lastros (350m). We follow a well-formed trail that connects Lastros with the Avgou Plateau and Kavousi. We then leave this main path and take a trail leading to the small chapel of Agios Ioannis, located just below the summit of Kapsas (832m).

From there, we continue along goat paths to reach the summit (952m), where we admire the panoramic views over the entire Mirabello Bay and the Cretan Sea.

We then return to rejoin our original trail, heading towards the beautiful Avgou Plateau and ending at the village of Kavousi (110m).
