Chamoprina – Azilakodasos – Krasi

A nice hike across the Azilakes forest at the foot of Mt Selena.

We start our hike from Chamoprina, 4 km south of Malia, at 350m a.s.l. We follow a well-preserved and marked trail that leads us up into the forest, Azilakodasos, at 1000m. It is a Quercus ilex forest found only in Crete and some Aegean islands.

We continue our hike on the outskirts of Mt Selena and following a path and a dirt road, we end our hike in Krasi village, at 600m.
