Kato Symi – Lapatho – Karydi – Mythoi

MIND THE CHANGE TO WINTER TIME!

We start our hike from Kato Symi, just before the sanctuary of Hermes and Aphrodite (1,040m), which we may visit. From there, we ascend gradually to the Lapatho Plateau (1,300m), where we encounter the old church of the Holy Apostles (1,260m). Then we descend towards the village of Mythoi (200m), passing through the settlement of Karydi (740m).

Much of the route crosses a forest of pines and evergreen oaks. The hike takes place mostly off-trail – but on easy terrain – as well as on dirt roads and some stone-built paths.
