Gramvousa – Balos

Following the ban on passage along the Falasarna–Balos trail, “as in several sections it is damaged, impassable, and dangerous for hikers,” decided by the Kissamos Municipal Council after relevant recommendations from the Kissamos Fire Service and the Municipality of Kissamos Civil Protection Officer, the original program of our hike is modified as follows:

We all take the boat from Kasteli Kissamos, visit the uninhabited island of Gramvousa, and optionally climb up to its fortress. We then disembark at Balos, where we enjoy the sea. Those who wish to hike may, in coordination with the Leader, walk up to the parking area above the beach, follow the peninsula trail to the sundial, and return to Balos. The return of all participants to Kasteli Kissamos will be by boat.

Participation fees must be paid to the IBAN accounts of the Heraklion Mountaineering Club (EOS Heraklion), and proof of payment must be sent via email to the Club.
