Aradena Gorge
Sunday, June 22nd, 2025
A summer excursion along the southern coast of Western Crete featuring a variety of stunning landscapes.
Early on Sunday morning, we depart for Aradena, Sfakia (520m). From there, we begin our descent through the gorge of the same name until we reach Aspros Marmaras beach, where we take a short break for a swim. We then continue walking eastward along the coastal E4 trail, passing through Lykos Beach, Phoenix, and finally arriving at the picturesque village of Loutro.
Those who wish can stay in Loutro to enjoy swimming and food and later take the boat to Chora Sfakion. The rest of the group, after a short break in Loutro, continues on to the beautiful Glyka Nera beach for a refreshing swim, completing the route at Chora Sfakion.
