a. The Chasms In The White Mountains

A circular hike across rough terrain and goat paths.

From the village of Melidoni, at 450m a.s.l., small trucks take us up to an altitude of 1000m. Then we hike up to 1700m and visit the two deepest chasms in Greece, Gourgouthakas, at -1208m, and Liontari, at -1110m. In addition, we see the nearby chasm Mavro Skiadi, at -342m.
