Sougia – Domata – Agia Roumeli

Saturday 23rd – Sunday 24th September 2023

A long and demanding hike along the E4 coastal European trail in western Crete.

Early on Saturday morning, we set off. After we reach Sougia, we start our hike heading eastwards. We reach Domata beach, where we enjoy the sea and spend the night in tents or sleeping bags. A small boat will supply us with drinking water.

On Sunday morning we continue our hike eastwards along the coastal E4 trail. The highest we go is 350m a.s.l. We end in Agia Roumeli, where we have a swim. Later, we take the boat το Chora Sfakion, and from there the bus takes us back to Heraklion.
