Following the E4 trail, from the Nida plateau (1380m) we ascend to the highest peak of Crete, the Holy Cross – Timios Stavros (2456m) on Mt Psiloritis. On the way, we deviate a bit to hike up on the peak of Agathisew, at 2424m.

We admire the magnificent panoramic view and return following the same way.

This hike is addressed to quite fit hikers with basic experience in winter gear.
