Tsoutsouras – Maridaki – Agios Nikitas

From the village of Tsoutsouras, we start our hike along a coastal trail with a great view of the Libyan Sea.

In 40 minutes we reach the settlement of Maridaki, offering two nice beaches and a small traditional tavern. Then, following a dirt road and a trail for 2.5 km we reach the Monastery of Agios Nikitas, a green oasis in the dry Asteroussia Mountains and we go down to a picturesque beach, where we can have a nice swim. The only palm tree forest in Asteroussia Mountains is not far away if someone wishes to visit it.

We take the same way back to Tsoutsouras.
