Nida Plateau – Alikadam – Trachili – Vorizia

Our hike starts from Nida Plateau at 1450m a.s.l.

Walking among big rocks we reach an area called Alikadam, a small plateau with big water wells. Then we hike down to Trachili area, at 900m, where brave Cretans gave a battle against the Nazis in 1943.

We end in the village of Vorizia, at 570m, and the bus takes us to Varsamonero Monastery, which we visit.
