A cool hike in eastern Crete.
We start our hike from Mythi village in the area of Lassithi. We walk along the asphalt road for a while and then down ta dirt road to the creek. Then we enter the Sarakina gorge. It’s a small but very beautiful gorge with water running nearly all year round, much green and birds. The crossing includes climbing over rocks and wading in the water.
After reaching the end of the gorge, the bus takes us to the Myrtos beach, where our day ends with a nice swim.
Clothing and shoes suitable for wading in the water are necessary.
