Sunday 6th September 2020
A summer hike in southern western Crete offering a variety of landscapes.
Early in the morning, we set off to Aradena village, Sfakia. We cross the Aradena gorge that ends on a beautiful beach on the Libyan Sea called Aspra Marmara. We continue eastwards along the coastal European Trail E4, past the beaches of Finikas and Lykos, and reach the small picturesque village of Loutro.
There are two options here: either to stay in Loutro for a swim and lunch and come later to Chora Sfakion by boat or to continue hiking to Glyka Nera beach, stop for a short swim there and end nearby Chora Sfakion village.
**ATTENTION: All participants have to be supplied with face masks and comply with the safety measures against covid-19 announced by the Greek Authorities.
