Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th June 2020
An easy and beautiful hike in the southern slopes of Mt Psiloritis.
On Saturday morning we reach the area of Diplori, at 1300m a.s.l. by bus and following the E4 trail we hike down across Rouvas forest. At Ai Yannis, at 950m, a beautiful place in the Quercus coccifera forest with running water and wooden benches and tables, we set our camp. Hiking around the area is a nice option.
On Sunday morning we hike down the gorge of Zaros, past the Agios Nikolaos Monastery, until the small lake of Votomos, at 450m. Then we get on the bus and continue to a nearby beach on the south coast for a nice swim.
**ATTENTION: Face masks are absolutely required for use on the bus on both days.
