a. Toumbotos Prinos Refuge – Psiloritis Peak
Saturday, March 16th – Sunday, March 17th, 2019
A winter ascent on Mt Psiloritis Peak.
We start our hike on Saturday morning from the village of Kouroutes, at 550m, in the south of Mt Psiloritis. Following a dirt road and the E4 European Trail we hike to Toumbotos Prinos Refuge, at 1400m a.s.l., where we spend the night.
On Sunday we ascend to Mt Psiloritis Peak, Timios Stavros, at 2456m a.s.l. On our way down we go past the Refuge and we continue along a wooded trail down to the village of Fourfouras, at 600m.
Winter gear, winter experience and fitness are required for all participants. No more than 19 people can take part.
