A pleasant, easy hike not far from Heraklion.
We start our hike from the archaeological site of Malia. Following a coastal trail with a great view of the sea, we cross the small village of Sissi. Then a coastal dirt road leads us to Milatos beach.
The bus takes us up to Milatos Cave with its tragic history and interesting geology. The cave is 75m long at an altitude of 155m and consists of many chambers at different levels decorated with many stalagmites.
