Aposelemis Gorge

An easy hike on dirt roads and paths along the small but beautiful Aposelemis Gorge in the area of Kasteli. It is organised together with the Municipality of Heraklion, it is free for all and all participants take a T-shirt as a souvenir.
The hike is 8 km long without any significant altitude difference. After the end of the hike, the bus takes us to the nearby picturesque village of Avdou, where we stay for some time.
The Municipality offers the T-shirt and the Mountaineering Club offers the transport. In return, all participants are kindly requested to offer some of the following products, which will be donated to The Children’s Smile Organisation:
- condensed milk
- rusk bread
- sugar
- flour
- cookies
- breakfast cereals
