Zoniana Gorge
Sunday, March 25th, 2018
Our hike starts from the asphalt road towards Nida plateau, at 1190m a.s.l. and follows the dirt road to Agios Yakinthos for 3 km. Then we take a path through a forest to a small church called Roussa Limni, meaning Red lake, named after the reddish ground. We continue hiking down until we enter the Zoniana gorge. The gorge is not difficult, the surroundings are beautiful and the rock formations are impressive. Our hike ends in the village of Zoniana, at 630m.
