Nida – Kamariko Cave – Kamares

Sunday, April 23rd, 2017

A nice long hike on the southern slopes of Mt Psiloritis.

We start our hike from Nida Plateau, at 1370m a.s.l., at first on a dirt road and later on a well marked trail across a wooded slope until we reach the Kamaraiko Cave, at 1780m, just below the Mavri Peak, at 1930m.

A group of hikers  can ascend on Mavri Peak whereas the rest ones wait at the cave. Later both groups reunite and follow the steep path, part of the E4 trail, down to Kamares village, at 586m, where we end our hike.

Along the second part of the hike we can find drinking water.
