Goni – Asfendou Gorge – Agios Nektarios – Frangokastelo

A nice hike in western Crete. We start from the village of Goni on Askyfou Plateau, at 780m a.s.l. We pass by the foot of Mt Megalo Oros and reach the village of Afendou, at 770m. Then we cross down the gorge enjoying the scenery and the view to the sea between the high walls of the gorge. The hike ends in Agios Nektarios village, at 190m. Then the bus takes us to Frangokastelo for a swim.
