a. Sarakina Gorge

A cool hike in eastern Crete.

We start our hike from Mythi village in the area of Lassithi and we enter the Sarakina gorge, which we cross  upwards. It’s a small but very beautiful gorge with water running nearly all year round, much green and birds. The crossing includes climbing over rocks and wading in the water. We return to Mythi following the road and our day ends on Myrtos beach for a nice swim.
