Ardaktos – Kouroupito – Platanos
Sunday, May 8th, 2016
A nice hike across the southern slopes of Mt Psiloritis following old paths and goatpaths.
We start from the village of Ardaktos and we hike along a mild upgoing path until a spot called Kouroupito. We continue to the small chapel of Agia Marina, past a site of a battle during the Greek civil war in mid ’40s and we end in the village of Platanos by going down a steep path.
The whole hike offers great views on Mt Psiloritis to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south. Good hiking boots are necessary.
Track length: 11 km. Altitude difference: 650m.
