An easy hike and swim in the south of Crete.
We start our hike from Kali Limenes and following the coastal trail we pass by the cave/sinkhole of Vourvoulitis. Then we go down into the gorge near the old chapel of St Antonios.
The gorge is beautiful, full of low vegetation and old olive trees, caves and high rock walls at the sides ending in a beautiful beach. It is an important rock climbing sector, whre the Cretan climbing community often meet, climb the rocks, have fun and protect the natural environment.
During our stay we’ll have the chance to swim in the clear blue waters of Agiofaraggo.
On the way back we take the same way. This hike is suitable for newbies and children.
