Diplori – Gyristi Peak – Prinos Refuge – Ano Asites

A route traversing Mt Gyristi from south to north-east following the European Trail E4. It’s re-scheduled for Saturday due to National Election.

We start from the area of Diplori, at 1300m a.s.l. above Gergeri with great view over Rouvas Forest. Following a dirt road for teo km and the E4 trail we reach Gyristi peak, at 1779m. Then we go down to Prinos Refuge, at 1080m, for a hot tea and some rest. The trail and a dirt road lead us to the village of Ano Asites where we end our hike.

Please, note: In case snow prevents us from reaching Diplori, the route changes; it starts and ends in Ano Asites, following the same track up and down. People who wish to spend the night in Prinos refuge should first contact the Club.
