Xyloskalo – Kallergi Refuge

Saturday 18th – Sunday 19th October 2014

An easy, alternative hike in a beautiful part of the White Mountains.

We set off on Saturday afternoon and spend the night on Omalos Plateau in rooms or tents.

On Sunday morning we start from Xyloskalo, at 1200m a.s.l. We follow the up-going trail and later the dirt road to Kallergi Refuge (1680m). There we can have a cup of tea and enjoy the impressive view to the mountain peaks and gorges all around. Later we take the way back to Omalos.
