Omalos – Koustogerako – Sougia

A hike in the beautiful south of Chania on May 3rd and 4th, 2014.

We set off from Heraklion on Saturday afternoon and three hours later we reach Omalos Plateau, where we spend the night in rooms or tents.

Early on Sunday morning we start from the spot called Seliniotikos Gyros. Along the whole hike we are under the shade of trees having great view over Agia Irini Gorge. We go past the chapel of Agia Ekaterini and after we reach the village of Koustogerako, we continue along a paved trail until the village of Livadas. Then we follow a dirt road and end in Sougia beach.
