Mythi-Minoan Path-Sarakina Gorge

On Sunday June 15th, 2014, we are hiking from Mythi village in the area of Lassithi following an old Minoan path up to a hill top to admre the view to the south. Then we eturnto Mythi and enter the Sarakina gorge. It’s a small but very beautiful gorge with water running nearly all year round, much green and birds. The crossing includes climbing over low rocks and, if so wished, wading in the water.

Our day ends on Myrtos beach for a nice swim.

The hike is easy, suitable for beginners.
