Kavousano Gorge
This week our hike is scheduled on Saturday and not on Sunday due to the Greek election. So, on Saturday, May 17th we are crossing the Kavousano Gorge in the south of Crete near Viannos and Kertokambos.
The Kavousano or Skotino Gorge is a small gorge with beautiful redish walls made of solid limestone. It’s well secured, suitable for beginners. There are 22 rappels, the longest of which is 22m. There will be water inside at this time of year.
We end our crossing in Keratokambos, where we can swim in the sea.
