Vrysi Gorge

We start our hike from the village of Laki, Chania, at 520m asl, and following a green trail we reach Vrysi gorge. The gorge has taken its name from a cave and an undeground river called Vryssi as well. We move on the side of the gorge, along a wild upgoing man-made trail, among trees and wild flowers, up until the spring of Vrysi, at 790m. Then we cross the gorge and we continue our hike again along a wild and at some points steep trail until we reqch the village of Zourva at 590m. Then we continue on a road and we end in the village of Meskla.
