a. Roza Gorge – Embasa Gorge

Starting just after the village of Avdou (230 m), we will follow a circular route through two completely different geological gorges of the area.

The first is Roza Gorge, which ends at Kera (680 m). It features impressive geological formations and steep cliffs. The riverbed has a strong incline, and although the trail is somewhat steep, there are protective cables along the exposed sections.

The second is Embasa Gorge, which starts from Kato Kera and ends at Gonies (285 m). It is lush and green, with dense vegetation — mainly plane trees and oaks — and offers a smooth, easy-to-walk path.
