Azilakas Walk – Kournas

An nice easy hike that is organised for the first time by our Club.

We set off from the historic village of Kournas, Chania. We visit some old byzantine churches and then we hike along adirt road and a trail until the hear tof Azilkas forest. The well marked and clear trail takes us around the forest and leads us back to Kournas village. Later the bus takes us to Kourna Lake for a swim or a meal. We may also visit the Minoan tomb of Fylaki during the day.

The hike is suitable for newbies and children accompanied by their parents.
