Agios Charalambos – Mikros Afentis – Kastamonitsa

A double hike in the area of Lassithi Plateau.

The most experienced group starts from Agios Charalambos village, at 840m a.s.l. and, following mostly a path, hikes up to Mikros Afentis peak, at 1578m. After admiring the panoramic view from the top, we go down to Tsouli Mnima and then, following an old Minoan trail, we reach the village of Kastamonitsa, at 520m.

The less experienced group visits the beautiful Vidiani Monastery, at 840m, and hikes to Tsouli Mnima. Then we follow an old Minoan trail and end down in Kastamonitsa village.
