35th Pancretan Mountaineering Event

Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th September 2015

Once every year all Cretan mountaineers meet on a mountain to socialise and hike together. This year this event is organised by the Mountaineering Clubs of Chania and takes place in the White Mountains, above the village of Kares Apokoronou.

On Saturday we hike for three hours up to the event site, where there are greetings and gift exchange between the Clubs . Then dinner and a fest follows. We spend the night in tents .

On Sunday we all together hike up to Varsamou Peak, at 1554m a.s.l. The hike takes 6 hours alltogether. As soon as we arrive back at the camp site, the event comes to its end.
