3-day Trekking in the White Mountains
June 7th – 8th – 9th, 2014
We set off on Saturday afternoon to Omalos Plateau, Chania, where we spend the night.
Very early on Sunday morning we start our trek. We pass by Kallergi Refuge, at 1680m a.s.l., go up the Melindaou Peak, at 2133m and then down to Potami. We go onto the top of Pachnes, the highest peak in the White Mountains, at 2452m and then we go down to the village of Anopolis, at 650m. We spend the night in the small village of Agios Ioannis.
On Monday we go down to the beach of Agios Pavlos. We follow E4 European Trail westwards, pass by Loutro and end up near Chora Sfakion.
Participants in this trekking must be quite fit and experienced.
