View To Two Seas, vol 2

A route for two groups.

We start from the village of Monastiraki, Ierapetra (180 m). Following the E4 trail, we reach the small chapel of Agia Anna (740 m) in Thrypti. From there, heading south, we continue to the area of Kaminakia (840 m), where a few old farmhouses can still be found. Continuing southward, we arrive at the village of Agios Ioannis (550 m) with its charming narrow streets.

The first group ends the hike here and takes the bus to the beach of Kakia Skala for swimming.

The second group continues along old paths and sections of rural roads toward the Mylonas Gorge. There, we enjoy swimming in the natural pools and at the waterfall. We then continue to the beach of Kakia Skala, where we meet up with the first group.

Good physical condition and experience on rocky terrain are required.
