a. Ano Asites – Prinos Refuge – Koudouni – Skinakas – Koritsi
Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th May 2025
On Saturday, we hike from Ano Asites (600m) to our Club’s Prinos Mountain Refuge (1080m), where we spend the night.
On Sunday, early in the morning, we follow the E4 trail up to the Gyristi pass (1600m), and then continue northwest toward the summit of Koudouni (1860m).
From there, we head to the summit of Skinakas (1750m), where the well-known observatory is located. Descending, we reach the Koritsi plateau (1400m), where the chapels of Saint Aristeidis and Prophet Elias have been built. Our hike ends a short distance away, on the road leading to the Nida Plateau.
Please familiarize yourself with the refuge regulations.
Participants must be quite fit and bring mountaineering boots, trekking poles, a sleeping bag or sheet, water, and food.
