Achentrias – Maridaki – Tsoutsouras

A hike in the full-of-contrast southern landscapes of Asterousia Mountains.

We start from the village of Achentrias, at 686m a.s.l.  and we follow an old trail that the locals used to reach Maridaki. We hike past the highest point of our hike, Stenos Poros, at 820m and then we start our way down past a small dried lake. Before we reach the sea level we hike past the palm-tree forest of Agios Antonios and the small Monastery of Agios Nikitas.

We continue eastwards to the settlement of Maridaki. There we have a break for a swim. Later we follow the coastal trail and end in Tsoutsouras.
