Mylonas Gorge, Pefki Gorge

Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th August 2018

A two-day trip in southeastern Crete.

We set off on Saturday morning and we stop a bit further than Agia Fotia Beach. We then cross the Mylonas or Agios Ioannis gorge. It’s a well-vegetated gorge with a waterfall about 20m high.

On Sunday we hike up the side of Pefki Gorge along a stone-built trail. We reach and visit the Vreiko Cave and then we hike down the gorge until we come back to Makrygialos for a swim and a rest.

The night is spent in tents or sleeping bags on Lagada Beach near Makrygialos, or in rooms.

Important notice: There are only 15 beds available in luxurious rooms of 6. No double rooms are available because of high season. So, early registrations – until 15th July – are recommended.
