Paranymfi – Koudoumas Monastery – Agios Ioannis

A hike along ancient trails on Asteoussia Mountains in South Crete.

We start from the village of Paranymfi, at 515m a.s.l. and following a dirt road we reach the old chapel of Agios Pavlos. Then we follow a trail to the hospitable Koudoumas Monastery. We continue to the Cave of Agios Antonios and we end in Agios Ioannis. Afterwards we use small trucks to go up to Kapetaniana.
