36th Pancretan Mountaineering Event

Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th September 2016

Once every year all Cretan mountaineers meet on a mountain to socialise and hike together. This year this event is organised by us, the Mountaineering Clubs of Heraklion, and takes place in the Asteroussia Mountains near Kapetaniana village.

On Saturday we hike for two hours to the event site, where there are greetings and gift exchange between the Clubs. Then dinner and a fest follows. We spend the night in tents.

On Sunday we all together hike up to Kofinas Peak, at 1231m a.s.l. The hike takes 4 hours alltogether. As soon as we arrive back at the camp site, there is a light snack and the event comes to its end.
