Vosakos Monastery – Chalepa Monastery – Diskouri Monastery

A scenic springtime hike passing by three historical monasteries in eastern Rthymnon area.

We start our hike from a point along the National Road, at 50m a.s.l., and following up a trail we reach the recently restored Vosakos Monastery , at 300m. Then dirt roads and trails lead us uphill to the historical Monastery of Chalepa, at 450m, where we can admire a beautiful fountain and great view. Our hike ends in Dioskouri Monastery, a Venetian Monastery built on an ancent temple.

In case a participant gets extremely tired, the bus can transport him/her from Chalepa to Dioskouri.
